To say that my stay with different Idu Mishmi tribal families has been incredibly wonderful is such an understatement. This trip has humbled me in so many different ways, it’s a life-long experience. Not only was I well taken care of during my sickness but I also stayed with them, slept where they sleep, ate what they ate, danced w/ them, trekked w/ them, went fishing, shared laughter & jokes despite language barriers & shared stories over a cup of tea sitting by the center fireplace.
